Bachelor in Law (University of São Paulo), obtained his PhD in Management at FGV-EAESP in São Paulo, Brazil, where he teaches now at business management and at public management programs, both at undergraduate and graduate levels. His research interests include geopolitics and business strategy, comparative law and world-systems analysis. Prof. Gelis-Filho is a member of the Political Economy of World-Systems Section of American Sociological Association. His most recent publications include a chapter in the 2017 issue of the Routledge series on World-Systems, discussing geocultural aspects of semiperipheral societies.
